Breedlove Performer Pro Concert Thinline Aged Toner European Spruce African Mahogany
The newest revolutionary body shape designed by the Breedlove acoustic guitar geniuses in Bend, Oregon. Our Concert body has been amazing players for more than three decades with its balanced sound, versatile play, and comfortable size. For the last few years, our designers have been tinkering with ways to get that same depth and projection in a thinner bodied instrument that would reduce arm angle, and therefore arm fatigue. The Concert Thinline has a ¾” shallower body than our traditional Concert with the same range, projection, and resonance. The Organic Pro Performer is first production guitar line to offer this innovative shape, and we’re confident that everyone who plays it will fall in love with it. Though initially built to accommodate players with smaller frames and shorter arms, none of us in the shop can put this guitar down. It’s just SO comfortable. With a European spruce top, and all solid African mahogany back, sides, and neck, this guitar gives an all-new feel to a classic look and sound. Add in Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics and you’ve got a powerhouse instrument that you want to hold in your lap all day long.
Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.
CONCERT BODY SHAPE
The Concert is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.
AFRICAN MAHOGANY
Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments—like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.
