Breedlove Performer Pro Concerto Aged Toner CE European Spruce African Mahogany
Breedlove’s largest body style—our version of a dreadnought—delivers big sound from a more comfortable, ergonomically designed shape. In a high gloss Performer configuration, it will solidly back the largest ensemble or support a solo singer/songwriter. Like a dreadnought, the Performer Pro Concerto CE has a slightly scooped EQ, creating a comfortable valley for your voice, while providing an incisive tone for your solos. A pinless ovangkol bridge leaves room for damping and allows you to makes string changes at lightning speed. Fishman Flex T-Plus electronics translate the European spruce top’s resonance to practice amp or PA. Whether you are on stage in front of thousands or just in front of your mirror, the Performer Pro Concerto CE offers big sound from a workhorse, all solid wood instrument.
Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.
EUROPEAN SPRUCE
As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. With the Organic Pro Collection years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected—each yielding many dozens of top sets—with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.
