Semi-Hollow body with a sustain block for the modern, deep-resonating bass sound. Fitted with Höfner staple PUs. Available in transparent black (BK), sunburst (SB), and left handed (L-SB).

The latest addition to the Contemporary series is the Cavern Bass 'HCT-500/1-CV', which has been designed with a flat back in addition to the characteristic vintage headstock and is fitted with 'Diamond' pick-ups in the classic Cavern spacing.
