Offering hardware unlock for both Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, you can choose which software you’d prefer, and simply plug it in and start DJing.
Merge FX
A feature never seen before, the DDJ-FLX6’s Merge FX allows you to easily mix songs of different genres and key no matter what the BPM is. Simply press the knob, engage the effect, and turn it as fast or slow as you like to build up the tension in the music.
Depending on which effect pattern you choose, the pitch might climb while a snare drum is triggered at shorter intervals until you’re ready to drop the next track. Then, press the knob again, and you’ll release the effect. And you’re ready to hit play and introduce the next song.
With Merge FX you have access to up to eight pattern presets (4 on Serato DJ Pro) and you can use your own samples. With Rekordbox, everything is customizable. Choose from 41 types of effects within the four categories (Build FX, Build Sample, Release FX, and Drop Sample). Then combine them to create more than 9,000 different patterns.
Jog Cutter
Turn on Jog Cutter, move your jog wheels, and you’ll hear a professional scratch effect applied to the last Hot Cue or playback position. There are 10 different scratch patterns to choose from and you can switch from one to another by simply moving the playhead on your jog wheels display. Lift your hand away, and the DDJ-FLX6 is ready to play as normal from the Hot Cue position.
DDJ-FLX6 – Full-size jog wheels
Boasting larger jog wheels, pitch bending and scratching feel natural on the DDJ-FLX. Giving you the same size as what you’ll find on the flagship CDJ-3000 dj player. Theres even an On Jog Display as well, so you can keep tabs on your play head position more easily than ever.
Sample Scratch
A brand new pad mode in Rekordbox, Sample Scratch lets you choose sounds youve assigned to the sampler. Then load them straight onto your decks. So when you’re wanting to create a live remix of a track, you can scratch in your favourite sounds. While Serato DJ Pro lets you use Scratch Bank to trigger samples with your performance pads.
Rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro
Thanks to a built in sound card and support for both RekordBox and Serato DJ Pro; all you need to do is connect your DDJ-FLX6 to your laptop and you’re ready to go. You won’t need a subscription either, and you even get licenses for the Serato DJ FX Pack and Pitch N Time expansions. Allowing you to get truly creative with whatever application you favour.
