Master Series Wood Djembes are expertly handcarved from a single piece of plantation grown mahogany.
The modified bowl shape produces an alternative sound profile with a more broad tonal range. The Master Series highs are a slightly lighter and its bass notes resonate freely.
This Master Series Djembe has a 12 inch head diameter. Each drum comes fitted with an all-weather, synthetic head which eliminates stretching, drying or losing pitch, and all Master Series Djembes include a durable, padded carry bag for easy transport.
Toca is committed to being green and environmentally-friendly. The wood we use is harvested from a plantation in Thailand, where our drums are then lathed and handcrafted by local musicians. This carefully managed resource is much easier on the environment than wood taken from primary forests.
