These strings, custom gauged by Billy Sheehan, provide the time tested, world famous, Rotosound Swing Bass set with two special advantages.
Billy says
A slightly lighter ‰Û÷G‰Ûª (0.043‰Û_) this provides a more even string to string tension across the neck and makes bending easier.
A heavier ‰Û÷E‰Ûª string (0.110‰Û_) which again provides a more even string to string tension,eliminating string ‰Û÷flap‰Ûª or ‰Û÷rattle‰Ûª and makes for a tighter low end with increased mass for more volume in the lower register.
The (0.110‰Û_) gauge also facilitates tuning down to a low ‰Û÷D‰Ûª without the string bottoming out or loss of intonation.
